75 RR IPS Officer Trainees A Historical Batch, Said Home Minister at SVPNPA Passing Out Parade

“We have entered in the Amrit Kaal Period and 75 RR batch of IPS officer trainees is a historical batch in itself. However, with their dedication and sacrifice for the country, they can be historical in the real sense. When the country will be celebrating 100 years of Independence, that time, we should feel proud about the contribution of this batch in strengthening the internal security,” said Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He was addressing the 75 RR batch of IPS officer in Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy on the occasion of their ‘Passing Out Parade’.

A total of 175 OTs participated in this parade which included 32 female probationers. Twenty police professionals from Bhutan, Nepal, Mauritius and Maldives were also part of this parade. It was commanded by Anushtha Kalia of AGMUT cadre followed by six foot platoons and one mounted platoons on horse. The mounted platoon was commanded by Antariksh Jain of UP cadre while platoon number 1 was commanded by Nischay Prasad of Rajasthan cadre. Isha Singh (AGMUT), Kailash Limbu (Nepal), Simran Bhardwaj (Gujarat), Sri Venella (Punjab) and Madan C of Tamil Nadu cadre commanded the rest of the five foot platoons, respectively.

Governor of Telanagan Ms. Shah Tamilisai Soundararajan along with former directors of the academy were also present on the occasion. The officers will now be trained through Parliament attache and central armed forces. They will then report to their cadres on 4 December 2023 for their district practical training and come back to the academy for their second phase of training.

TECHNOLOGY IS THE BIGGEST WEAPON

Before joining the parade, Mr. Shah paid floral tribute to the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the visionary behind the All India Services and also paid homage to the martyrs of the Indian Police Service who laid down their lives in the service of the nation. Highlighting the importance of technology in policing, Mr. Shah said, “Many probationers are from technical background and in the future the role of technology will be very important in policing. The officers must be able to take out the best use of technology and to solidify this vision Prime Minister Narendra Modi has initiated through ‘Police Technology Mission. With this mission, our police force guide the whole world on this front as well.”

TRAINED TO SERVE PLURALISTIC SOCIETY

Director of Academy Amit Garg welcomed the chief guest and presented the milestones of the academy. He said that the curriculum is designed in accordance with the demand of today’s world. Officers are trained in law and subjects related to police. They also took training with Grey Hounds to work and fight in jungle too. “With sensitization module, the OTs have learnt the values of democratic society. They are ready to serve in pluralistic society and serve people and their well-being,” said the Director.

Officer trainees also participated in various cultural activities and competitions prior to the Passing Out Parade. The winners were honoured by the chief guest. Ms. Isha Singh of AGMUT cadre won the Manipur Cup for Law. Akshay Pramod Sabadra of Chhattisgarh cadre won the National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) Trophy for Computer Studies and Divyanjali Jaiswal of Bihar cadre won the Home Ministry’s Trophy for the Best Essay on ‘Communal Harmony and National Integration’. National Security Guard Trophy for Best Squad in Musketry was won by Platoon No. 8.
