Top Stories Of September 2021

Here are our top five stories of the month which has just gone by. These stories portray true zeal and determination of our civil servants and aspirants.

To go out of the way and do something for your people and family, may not always be easy. However, these civil servants and aspirants proved their mettle with their courageous work and true grit that they can make anything possible and achieve whatever they aspire.

From eradicating the issue of illegal liquor selling in villages to providing new and engaging prospects of education and from developing their city to their best capacity to clearing UPSC examination and making their families proud, here we present our top five stories for the month of September!

GIVING THEM A TICKET TO LIFE OF DIGNITY

Illicit liquor has taken many lives in Uttar Pradesh over the years. It has also put a large number of youth on the path of crime. But things are changing now. Dhanupura and Bhojpur villages in Uttar Pradesh used to be one such hub of illegal liquor manufacturing till a few years back. What changed? The arrival of Mr. Anirudh Singh in the region who not just successfully persuaded the people of these villages of Uttar Pradesh from making illicit liquor, their age-old profession, but also motivated them to live a life of respect.

RESIGNED CUSHY CORPORATE JOB, FAILED FOUR TIMES IN UPSC, FINALLY GOT AIR 95

Mahamuni Vinayak Prakashrao’s story demonstrates the hard work and perseverance needed for UPSC exam preparation. Hailing from Latur district of Maharashtra, he did B.Tech in 2012 and joined the corporate giant IBM (International Business Machines). Serving there for three years, he decided to take a calculated risk. He resigned to prepare for UPSC knowing that he had a plan B – to take up a corporate job once again, if things went wrong. The journey which started in the beginning of 2016 finally culminated in a fruitful result after the Union Public Service Commission announced the CSE 2020 results.

FAMILY WAS AISHWARYA’S INSPIRATION DURING HER UPSC JOURNEY

Aishwarya Singh, presently an IRS officer under training, cleared the 2021 UPSC Exam with flying colours by securing AIR 97. Originally from Delhi, Aishwarya is 25 years old alumni of prestigious Lady Shri Ram College of Delhi University. In her first attempt, she secured AIR 249 and joined as Assistant Commissioner (Officer Trainee). She has been undergoing training at National Academy of Customs Indirect Taxes and Narcotics, Faridabad.

OPENING NEW DOORS FOR STUDENTS OF TELANGANA

Education is the ladder to development. No more a luxury, it’s a necessity in life. It is slowly becoming a basic need as every single person becomes aware of their right to become educated. With such a huge population wanting to receive this fruit of life, it is necessary that the infrastructure and the quality of the education department in the country are up to standard. To ensure this, Commissioner, Collegiate Education & Technical Education at the Government of Telangana, Mr. Navin Mittal is bringing out new and exciting ways to make more people embrace the benefits of education.

AN OFFICER’S DRIVE FOR DEVELOPMENT

Having faced the problem of a lack of good books on environment and ecology while preparing for UPSC, Mr. Bilal Bhat, who is the District Magistrate of Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir, decided to write a book himself on the same subjects to help civil services aspirants. But his yeoman service to people is not just limited to that.
