No wonder that his house near Delhi University, used to have musical evenings to be attended by well-known personalities like Vishal Bhardwaj, Manoj Bajpai, Vishwadeep and Avaneendra Thakur.

Yet, he cracked the prelims in first attempt and got a place in merit list in the second. But he only wanted to join the IRS. Please watch the interview to know the reason. And also how he became the first IRS officer to join TDS (Tax Deducted At Source) department.

He also talks about it was to join as IRS officer when the country was tasting first pangs of economic liberalization, how he disguised as a job seeker, studied engineering to get the job, prepared fake marksheet to detect one of the most bizzare TDS evasion scam way back in early 90s.

Please tune in to this video to find out various ways IT officials adopt to detect tax evasion and they always remain a step ahead of tax evaders.
