The Bihar government promoted 11 IPS officers in the state. 7 IPS officers have been promoted to the rank of ADG, 3 officers to the rank of IG, and one to the rank of DG.
The department promotion committee approved the names for the promotion.
The officers who have been promoted to the rank of ADG are Bachchu Singh Meena, Sunil Kumar, Paras Nath, Nayyar Hussnain Khan, Anil Kishore Yadav, Kamal Kishore Singh, and Amit Kumar Jain.
While Vikas Vaibhav, Vijay Kumar Verma and Suresh Kumar Choudhary have been promoted to the rank of IG.
Sobha Ohatker has also been promoted to director-general (DG) rank.
The DPC recommendation for the promotions has been sent to CM Nitish Kumar. The officers would join on new roles after the CM’s approval.
