With a view to improve inter-departmental coordination the Government of Delhi has appointed four senior IAS as nodal officers. The officers are Satya Gopal, Renu Sharma, B S Bhalla and PK Gupta. Mr Gopal and Ms Sharma are of 1988 batch while Mr. Gupta is from 1989 and Mr. Bhalla is of 1990 batch.
Mr. Gopal who is serving as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Power has been made Nodal Officer for implementation/compliance of directions/orders issued by Supreme Court/High Court of Delhi/National Green Tribunal. He is also holding the additional charge of ACS, Environment and Forest.
Ms. Sharma has been made Nodal Officer for implementation/compliance of directions/orders from Parliament/Parliamentary Standing Committees/Legislative Assembly of Delhi and Standing Committees of Legislative Assembly of Delhi. She is currently serving as ACS, Urban Development and Director, Local Bodies.
Mr. Gupta who is ACS, General Administration Department has been made Nodal Officer for implementation/compliance of directions/order of SC/ST commission/NHRC and other commissions/Authorities.
Whereas Mr. Bhalla has been made Nodal Officer for COVID-19 matters and Government of India references. At present, he is serving as ACS, Home. He also has additional charge of ACS, Health and Family Welfare Department.
