In order to align the administration of the state, the Government of Assam has issued transfer orders for 7 IAS officers across the state.
The officers transferred are:
- Dr. Ashish Bhutani IAS ( 1992) who was the ACS- Agriculture, A H& Veterinary Depts and State Project Director- ARIAS Society, Agriculture Production Commissioner, Assam Chairman- State Level Recruitment Commissioner for class III posts was relieved from the charge of ACS- AH & Veterinary Dept.
- Jayant Narlikar IAS (2003) who was the Commissioner & Secretary- Finance, Sports & Youth Welfare and Information Technology Depts, Commissioner, Lower Assam Division & Member-State Level Recruitment Commission for Class-IV Posts has been relieved from the additional charge of Commissioner & Secretary Information Technology Dept and been assigned the additional charge of Commissioner & Secretary- AH & Veterinary Dept.
- Rituraj Bora IAS (2010), the Secretary Cooperation & Cultural Affairs Depts & MD- Housefed has been relieved from the additional charge of Secretary- Cultural Affairs Dept.
- Ghanshyam Dass IAS (2012), the Secretary- Personnel Dept, has been given additional charge of Secretary- Information Technology Dept, Assam.
- B Kalyan Chakravarthy IAS (1995) presently Principal Secretary, Labour Welfare and Skill, Entrepreneurship Depts is to continue holding additional charge of Chairman- State Level Recruitment Commission for Class-IV Posts.
- Preetom Saikia (Retd. IAS), the Special Commissioner- Education Dept, has now been appointed as Special Commissioner- Home and Political Dept.
- Pratim Majumdar IAS (2010) who was the Registrar – Cooperative Societies has now been posted as Secretary- Social Welfare Dept, Assam.
