The 1989-batch IAS officer, Vivek Kumar Singh, has been made the development commissioner of Bihar. Singh is currently posted as additional chief secretary in the revenue and land reforms department. Altogether seven IAS officers were transferred on Saturday as per a notification issued by the general administration department (GAD).
Additional chief secretary Brijesh Mehrotra has been transferred from industries department to the revenue and land reforms department, replacing Vivek. Also a 1989-batch officer, Mehrotra will hold additional charge of director (Chakbandi), vigilance commissioner (GAD) and additional Chief secretary (parliamentary affairs department)
Mehrotra will be replaced in the industries department by principal secretary Sandeep Paundrik, who will also hold additional charge of managing director of BIADA and Infrastructure Development Authority.
Vinay Kumar, a 1999-batch IAS officer, has been transferred as secretary from food and consumer protection department to planning and development department. He will also hold additional charge of secretary, Bihar State Planning Board and project director, Bihar Aapda Punarwas Evam Punarnirman Society (BAPEPS). Vinay has been relieved from additional charge of mission director, Bihar Vikas Mission (BVM).
Anupam Kumar, a 2003-batch IAS officer currently posted as secretary in the chief minister secretariat with additional charge of the same post in information and public relations department has been given additional charge of mission director, BVM.
Prem Singh Meena, a 2000-batch IAS officer currently posted as divisional commissioner of Bhagalpur with additional charge of the same post of Munger division, has been transferred as secretary, social welfare department. He will hold additional charge of director, social security. Dayanidhan Pandey, a 2006-batch IAS officer posted as secretary in social welfare department, will now be divisional commissioner of Bhagalpur and Munger divisions.
