Anurag Jain Made Secretary of Ministry of Road Transport & Highways

While 1987 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, Mr Arun Sighal will be Director General of National Archives of India in Ministry of Culture.

In a major bureaucratic reshuffle at the central level, the Modi government has transferred and posted many secretaries and additional secretary-level IAS officers.

Ministry of Personnel Public Grievances and Pensions issued an order regarding this on April 20. It also approved in-situ promotions for two other officers.

1989 batch IAS officer from Madhya Pradesh cadre, Mr. Anurag Jain will be the new Secretary of the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways. He was serving as secretary in the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade.

Mr. Jain will replace Ms. Alka Upadhyaya, a 1990 batch IAS of his cadre. She has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying in the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying.

While a 1987 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, Mr. Arun Sighal, has been made Director General of the National Archives of India in the Ministry of Culture. He was earlier working as Secretary at the Department of Fertilizers, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers.

1989 batch IAS officer of Kerala cadre, Mr. Rajesh Kumar Singh, has been appointed as Secretary, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry. He was Secretary, the Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying in the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying. He will replace of Mr. Jain
