Punjab Chief Electoral Officer, Dr. S. Karuna Raju has appointed IAS officer Amit Kumar as Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab and Two PCS Officers, Amarbir Singh and Inder Pal as Joint CEOs. The appointment was made on the recommendations of the Election Commission of India, yesterday.
Dr. S. Karuna Raju informed that the Election Commission of India had consulted the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab to finalize these names. He also added that these appointments have been made as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India for which the Punjab Government had sent a panel of three officers for the three posts each through the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab.
