Major Bureaucratic Shift in Uttar Pradesh, 21 IAS Officers Transferred, IAS Vishak G Iyer & Suryapal Gangwar Will Be New DM of Kanpur & Lucknow Respectively

In a major bureaucratic reshuffle in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi Adityanath government has transferred and posted 20 IAS officers, while one officer has been given additional charge. New District Magistrates (DMs) have been posted in nine districts including capital Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Ballia, Aligarh, Basti, Jalaun, Etawah and Firozabad, while new commissioners have been sent to Bareilly division. On the basis of the feedback and complaints received from the ministers and public representatives, the Yogi government may soon transfer the IAS officers posted in many more district magistrates and departments directly related to the public.

Lucknow DM Abhishek Prakash, who has been promoted to the post of secretary. He has been made Secretary Industrial Development and CEO Invest UP. DM of Firozabad district, IAS officer Suryapal Gangwar has been made the new DM of Lucknow.

Special Secretary to the Chief Minister IAS Vishak G Iyer, Once again, has been made the DM of Kanpur Nagar. He has been DM of Kanpur in the past for almost for months as well. The, the Election Commission had directed to remove him from the post of DM Kanpur. After this he was made special secretary to the chief minister.

Shruti Singh, DM of Etawah, have been posted as Secretary Medical Education along with Director General of the department in the government.

Soumya Agarwal has been shifted from DM Basti to the post of DM in Ballia. DM Ballia Inder Vikram Singh has been posted as DM of Aligarh.

DM of Jalaun, IAS Priyanka Niranjan has been named as the DM of Basti. Krishna Karunesh Vice-Chairman Ghaziabad Development Authority has been made the new DM of Gorakhpur.

DM of Aligarh, IAS Selva Kumari Jayaraja has been promoted to the post of secretary. She has been named as the new Bareilly’s Divisional Commissioner.

Along with this, the Uttar Pradesh government has made changes in the workspace of 12 IAS officers.
