Major reshuffling in Kerala, 10 IAS given new postings

Dr. Asha Thomas, Rajesh Kumar Sinha, Dr. B Ashok, Hari Kishore has been given additional charges and will start their role soon.

Thiruvananthapuram: The state government of Kerala announced a major reshuffling at administrative level. According to a recent notification by Department of Personnel, 10 IAS have been transferred and assigned with the new posting in the state. Some have been assigned with the additional charges. The order included officers like Dr. Asha Thomas, Rajesh Kumar Sinha, Dr. B Ashok, Hari Kishore. These all officers will be assuming the new role soon.

Dr. Asha Thomas has been appointed as Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department Additional Chief Secretary. Dr. Thomas who is currently serving as the Forest –Wildlife department Additional Chief Secretary has also been given the additional charge of Parliamentary Affairs Department. Similarly, Rajesh Kumar Sinha will take the charge as Forest-Wildlife Department principal secretary and additionally serve as the Principal Secretary of Industries (Cashew). He is currently working in central government.

Along with them, Dr. B Ashok and CA have also been reassigned with the new roles. Dr. Ashok will be appointed as Road Safety Authority commissioner while Mr. Latha will be the new Fisheries Department director.  Meanwhile, IAS M Kaul has been given the new post of Home and Vigilance Department secretary. He will continue his current posting as the Port Department Secretary.  

K GopalaKrishna Bhat who is currently the Secretary of Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department has been appointed as the secretary of Sainik Welfare Directorate and given the additional charge of Printing and Stationery Department. On the other hand,  Hari Kishore will take the charge of the Information and Public Relations Department Director in addition to his current role as Kudumbashree Executive Director. MG Rajamanikyam has been appointed as the KSIDC Managing Director and K Biju will take up the new post as the Land Revenue Commissioner. In addition to this Mr. Biju will also take responsibility as the Special Secretary (Land Acquisition) of the Revenue Department.

M Kaul will be the new secretary of Home and Vigilance Department while continuing his role as Port Department secretary. Meanwhile, UV Jose has been assigned with the role of Additional Secretary (Local-Self) Government.
