As many as five IAS officers have received new postings in Gujarat. The officers are:
- Sandeep Kumar, commissioner of cottage and rural industries, has been appointed as development commissioner, relieving N B Upadhaya of the additional charge.
- Rakesh Shankar, GAD (finance) will hold additional charge of Sandeep Kumar’s earlier post.
- Vishal Gupta, additional development commissioner, has been transferred and appointed as additional commissioner rural development.
- Regional commissioners of municipalities of Vadodara and Gandhinagar have been inter-transferred. D K Parekh of Vadodara has been transferred to Gandhinagar.
- Prashasti Pareek of Gandhinagar has been transferred to Vadodara.
