1991-batch IAS officer Satyabrata Sahu has been appointed as the new Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) of Odisha. He took charges on 29th March, 2023. He was working as Revenue & Disaster Management Department Secretary in government of Odisha.
Mr Sahu has replaced 1993 batch Senior IAS officer Mr. Nikunja Bihari Dhal, who was appointed as the SRC of Odisha in February this year after IAS officer Pradeep Jena was named as the next Chief Secretary of Odisha. Jena had previously served as the SRC. While Mr Nikunja Bihari Dhal has been appointed as the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Odisha.
Informing the news, Odisha State Disaster Management Authority tweeted, “Shri Satyabrata Sahu, IAS takes charge as Special Relief Commissioner, Odisha on 29.03.2023. Shri Sahu is also the Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Revenue & Disaster Management Department, Govt. of Odisha and Addl. Chief Secretary to Government, Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department.”
