A 1999- batch (Punjab cadre) IAS officer Nilkanth S Avhad who was the Taxation Commissioner Punjab has been now transferred and posted as Registrar Co-operative Societies, Punjab.
Avhad belongs to Ahmadnagar and has pursued B.Tech in Agriculture Engineering.
He has been the counselor (Economic) at the Embassy of India, in the USA and is known as one of the decorated officers in the country.
