Vinay Kumar, IAS Made Director, Census Operations in Mizoram

Kumar is a 2011-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) of the AGMUT cadre. Presently, he serving in the State Government of Mizoram. Prior to this, he was posted as Secretary in the Government of Delhi.

The Central Government on Wednesday issued an order regarding the appointment of IAS officer Vinay Kumar for the post of Director of Census Operations (DCO) )/Director of Citizen Registration(DCR), Mizoram.

According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on February 8, Kumar has been appointed to the post, at Deputy Secretary Level, on additional charge basis under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) with effect from the date of taking over the charge of the post and for a period up to December 31, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
