2002 batch IPS officer of Assam-Meghalay cadre, Deepak Choudhary has been appointed as Minister (Coordination) (JS level) in the High Commissioner of India, London for a period of three years. He will replace 1994 batch IPS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre, Manmeet Singh Narang.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday (29.10.2022), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of Ministry of External Affairs to appoint Mr Choudhary to the post for a period of three years from the date of assumption of charge to the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
