1995 batch IPS officer Jag Mohan has been appointed as Minister (Personnel & Community Affairs) (JS level), in the Embassy of India, Washington DC for a period of three years. He will replace Anurag Kumar, a IPS officer of 1994 batch of AGMUT cadre.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (26.09.2022), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Ministry of External Affairs to appoint Mr. Mohan to the post for a period of three years w.e.f. the date of his assumption of charge to the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
