Four senior IPS officers in Uttar Pradesh have been transferred and appointed with a new charge. The list includes IPS officer Dhruv Kant Thakur who has been appointed as the Police Commissioner of Lucknow.
Thakur who is a 1994-batch IPS officer was holding the charge of ADG- Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS), UP. He has replaced her batchmate Sujeet Pandey who has now been posted as ADG- Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS), UP.
Apart from this, 1997-batch IPS GK Godswamy who was currently waitlisted after return to home cadre, has been appointed as IG-Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS). Whereas, IPS officer Raj Kumar who was awaiting posting has been appointed as ADG- DGP Headquarters.
