In a big bureaucratic reshuffle in Maharashtra police, Eknath Shinde led government has transferred 11 senior police officers. IPS Bipin Kumar Singh has got new posting after two month wait as earstwhile government in Maharashtra sidelined him. He has been appointed as additional DG (crime) in the DG’s office. He was earlier Navi Mumbai police commissioner, when removed by earstwhile government.
While anti-terrorism squad chief IPS Vineet Agarwal has been appointed as Additional Director General of Police and Chief Efficiency Officer, MHADA, Mumbai. IPS Prabhat Kumar, who is Additional DG (anti-corruption), has been shifted to the home guards in the same rank in place of Brijesh Singh, who has been appointed as principal secretary in the CMO.
IPS Rajkumar Vhatkar, who was joint police commissioner (administration), has been appointed special IG (training), while Jay Jadhav will be the new special IG in state human rights commission. IPS Kaisar Khaleed has been shifted to Pune’s motor transport department, while D K Bhujbal has been shifted to special IG, CID, Pune. S H Mahawarkar will be the new DIG, Nanded.
IPS D.K. Patil Bhujbal has been appointed as Special Inspector General of Police, Crime Investigation Department, Pune. Also S.H. Mahavarkar has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Nanded Division.
Abhijit Shivthare has been appointed as Assistant Inspector General of Police, Law and Order Department, Mumbai.
IPS Pournima Chougule has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police of Mira-Bhayander-Vasai-Virarchay. Also, Rahul Khade has been transferred to the post of Additional Superintendent of Police of Jalna district.
IPS Neeva Jain has been appointed as Additional Resident Commissioner, Secretary and Resident Commissioner, Maharashtra Sadan, in her office, New Delhi.
On December 13, Shinde had reshuffled a record 30 IPS officers too.
