2015 batch IPS officer Rahul Jain, who is SP of Jharsuguda, has been transferred to the State Police Headquarters. Bargarh SP Smit Parmar has been posted as the new SP of Jharsuguda.
The State Government has taken this decision of reshuffle in the IPS cadre amid the ongoing investigation into the murder of Minister Naba Kisore Das.
While Boudh SP Prahalad Meena has been transferred to Bargarh and Additional SP Rayagada Raj Prasad was posted as SP Boudh.
Similarly, the SDPO of Brajrajnagar Gupteswar Bhoi has also been shunted and attached to Police Headquarters. He was replaced by Athmallik SDPO Chintamani Pradhan.
