In a bureaucratic reshuffle in the police department, the Ashok Gehlot led state government has transferred and posted 2 IPS officers.
The department of personnel issued the transfer orders late on Monday night.
1995 batch IPS officer Biju George Joseph has been appointed as the next police commissioner of Jaipur. He was earlier posted as the ADG Vigilance in police headquarters.

In the year 2011, when the police commissioner system was implemented in Jaipur for the first time, Biju George Joseph was made the second additional police commissioner of Jaipur. He remained in this post for about two and a half years. Later, he was also given the responsibility of acting police commissioner for a few days. He has also been the Police Commissioner of Jodhpur.
Mr. Joseph has been awarded the Police Medal and the President’s Police Medal.
Along with 2 IPS officers, 3 IAS officers has been also transferred and posted. The name of the officers are Bhanu Prakash, V Saravan Kumar and Urmila Rajoria.
At the same time, in an another order, 53 RPS (Rajasthan Police Services) were also transferred in Rajasthan.
