On Monday late evening, the Uttarakhand Government announced the promotion of the 5 senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers to the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG).
The official order states that senior IPS officer Mr. Janmejay Khanduri has been promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Earlier he was posted as SSP, Dehradun. Besides this, four other senior IPS officers have also been promoted to the rank of DIG. The names of the officers are Mr. Sunil Meena, Mr Sadanand Date, Mr. Senthil Avoodai, and Mr. Yogendra Singh Rawat.
