Several IPS officers, including those serving in Kolkata, Howrah and Bidhannagar, were transferred by the state administration on Monday. Kolkata Police will have a new DC (traffic south) as Y Shrikant Jagannathrao, who was ADC to the governor, will take charge. Atul V, who was posted as DC (traffic south) will be the new DC of cyber crime of Kolkata Police.
Praveen Prakash, who was DC (cyber) of Kolkata Police, will be the new DC of New Town Zone, under Bidhanngar Commissionerate. Jaspreet Singh is now DC of Bidhannagar zone in Bidhannagar police. M Meetkumar Sanjaykumar was posted as the new ADC to governor.
IPS officer Kunal Aggarwal will be DIG (training), Debarshi Dutta IPS will be the SS of CID. K Sabari Raj Kumar IPS will be DC (central) of Howrah and IPS officer Avijit Banerjee will be the new SP of Purulia.
