In order to reshuffle the police lineup of the state, the government of Jharkhand has issued transfer and posting orders of six IPS officers across the state. Of the IPS offices shifted, four IPS officers have been promoted to the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) rank.
1. 2006 batch IPS officer Anish Gupta has been promoted and assigned the post of Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Ranchi.
2. 2006 batch IPS officer Ajay Linda has been promoted and given the post of DIG, Kolhan, Chaibasa.
3. 2008 batch IPS officer Deepak Kumar Sinha has been promoted to the post of DIG, Home Guard and Fire Services.
4. 2008 batch IPS officer Shams Tabrez has been promoted and made DIG, Budget, Ranchi.
5. 2018 batch IPS officer K Vijay Shankar will take over the post of Superintendent of Police (SP) City, Jamshedpur.
6. 2018 batch IPS officer Mukesh Kumar Lunayat will assume the charge of SP Rural, Jamshedpur.
