Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has promoted 19 IPS officers to the rank of Additional Director General (ADG), Inspector General (IG) and Deputy Inspector General (DIG).
Four IPS officers of 1996-batch have been promoted to the ADG, Police: Navneet Sikera, Jyoti Narayan, S Satish Ganesh, Vijay Prakash.
Six IPS officers of 2003-batch promoted to IG, Police:
Modak Rajesh D Rao, Vinay Kumar Yadav, Hira Lal, Sanjay Kumar, Shiv Shankar Singh, Rakesh Singh.
Nine IPS officers of 2007-batch promoted to DIG, Police:
Amit Pathak, Vinod Kumar Singh, Jogendra Singh, Ravi Shankar Chavi, Nitin Tiwari, Dr Sunil Gupta, Ashok Kumar, Anil Kumar Singh, Pratibha Ambedkar.
