CM Conrad Kongkal Sangma’s of Meghalaya has issued transfer of across the state, setting a record for one IPS officer by making him SP (City) for the fourth time. IPS officer Vivek Syiem has yet again posted as SP (City), Shilong. This will be fourth time when he will take charge of this post.
Prior to this in June 2020 Mr. Syiem who was then serving as SP, Infiltration was assigned to Shillong as an SP (city). Then on January he was transferred and appointed as Assistant Inspector General (law and order).
Dr. Raghavendra Kumar M.G. who was Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, Shillong, has been assigned as Superintendent of Police, CID, Shillong. While Sylvester Nongtnger has been placed as the Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, Shillong. He was previously serving as Superintendent of Police, F&ES, Shillong.
Siddharth Kumar Ambedkar who was Superintendent of Police, South Garo Hills, Baghmara, has been promoted to Superintendent of Police, East Garo Hills, Williamnagar.
Let it be noted that just one day before the state government transferred Deputy Commissioners of different districts in Meghalaya.
