The Jammu and Kashmir Home Department has relieved three IPS officers of the AGMUT cadre following their transfer orders issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). In their absence, three other police officers have been directed to take over the vacant positions until further orders.

According to the official notification, Mr. Umesh Kumar (2008-batch IPS officer), Mr. Sanjeev Yadav (2013-batch IPS officer), and Mr. Sandeep Gupta (2015-batch IPS officer), all of the AGMUT cadre, have been transferred out of Jammu and Kashmir. Mr. Umesh Kumar previously served as DIG Training at Police Headquarters, Mr. Sanjeev Yadav was the Staff Officer to the IGP Technical Services, and Mr. Sandeep Gupta held the post of AIG Technical at Police Headquarters.
Following their departure, the department has assigned interim charges to senior officers. Mr. Mubashir Latifi, DIG Personnel at Police Headquarters, will now also hold additional charge as DIG Training. Mr. Azhar Bashir Baba, AIG Crime and Complaints, will handle the responsibilities of SO to IGP Technical Services. Meanwhile, Mr. Al Tahir, Director General of Police (SO), has been assigned additional charge as AIG Technical at Police Headquarters.
These temporary assignments will remain in effect until further official orders are issued.
