New Delhi: In a significant development within the Indian Forest Service (IFoS), three senior officers from the 1995 batch – Rama Shankar Sinha, Krishna Bahadur Singh, and Shyam Sundar Kandpal – have been promoted to the esteemed rank of Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF).
The promotions were made under the Joint AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh–Goa–Mizoram–Union Territories) cadre, recognizing the officers’ long-standing service and leadership in forest conservation and environmental governance.
As PCCFs, the officers will now hold the highest rank in the state forest departments, guiding critical decisions in biodiversity protection, forest management, and policy implementation across the regions they serve. The move is seen as a step towards reinforcing top-level leadership in India’s forest and environmental administration.
