New Delhi: In a significant move, the Government of India has promoted three senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers to the prestigious rank of Director General of Police (DGP) in the AGMUT cadre. The promotions, effective immediately, place these officers in Level-16 of the Pay Matrix.
The promoted officers are:
- Garima Bhatnagar (IPS: 1994: AGMUT)
- Anand Mohan (IPS: 1994: AGMUT)
- Ravindra Singh Yadav (IPS: 1995: AGMUT)
Additionally, two more officers from the 1994 batch of the AGMUT cadre have received proforma promotion to the DGP grade. These officers are:
- Anurag Kumar (IPS: 1994: AGMUT)
- Abdul Ghani Mir (IPS: 1994: AGMUT)
The promotions mark a major step in recognizing the officers’ long-standing service and contributions to law enforcement and security. As DGPs, these officers will play an essential role in the country’s policing, security policies, and law enforcement strategies.
