Following the allocation of cadres for candidates selected in the Civil Services Examination 2023 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Chhattisgarh has received five new IPS officers. Among them, two officers— Ms. Purva Agarwal and Ms. Anusha Pillai—have been allotted their home state cadre, while three others from different states have also been assigned to Chhattisgarh.

Ms. Purva Agarwal, who secured All India Rank 189, and Ms. Anusha Pillai, who ranked 202nd, will now serve in their home state. Ms. Anusha Pillai is the daughter of Senior Administrative Service officer Ms. Renu Pillai (1991-batch IAS officer) and retired IPS officer Mr. Sanjay Pillai (1988 batch).
The other three officers, hailing from different states but allotted Chhattisgarh cadre under the Central Government’s cadre allocation policy, include:
- Mr. Yash Kanwat (Rank 778) – Delhi
- Mr. Aditya Kumar (Rank 861) – Uttar Pradesh
- Mr. Bansode Pratik Dadasaheb (Rank 862) – Maharashtra
These newly appointed IPS officers will undergo training and take up various administrative responsibilities in different districts of Chhattisgarh, strengthening the state’s law enforcement and governance.
