In a significant move, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) cleared the empanelment of five Indian Police Service (IPS) officers for top positions at the Centre. The officers are now eligible for holding prestigious roles, including Director General (DG) and DG Equivalent posts in the Government of India.
