Jaipur: In a significant shake-up of the state’s bureaucracy, Rajasthan’s Bhajanlal Sharma government executed a major administrative reshuffle late on the night of January 31, affecting 53 IAS officers, 24 IPS officers, 34 IFS officers, and 113 RAS officers. The reshuffle also includes changes to the leadership of multiple departments and districts.
IAS Transfers–
2002 batch IAS officer Ashutosh AT Pednekar has been appointed as the Secretary of the Tribal Area Development Department, while 2004 batch IAS Ravi Kumar Surpur will take over as the Divisional Commissioner of Bikaner.
In an interesting development, 2021 batch IAS officer Ria Dabi, the sister of IAS Tina Dabi, has been appointed as the CEO of Udaipur Zila Parishad, transferring from her previous position as SDM of Girwa.
Additionally, four new IAS officers have been appointed as SDMs in various districts, including Juhi Kar Pratik, who has been assigned to the newly formed Bharatpur Development Authority as Commissioner.
Before the state budget, Tikamchand Bora, Special Secretary in the Finance Department, has been transferred to the post of Rajfed MD.
Other Key Appointments and Changes–
- Bhanu Prakash Eturu has been named Secretary of the Higher and Technical Education Department.
- Namit Mehta, formerly of Bhilwara, has been appointed District Collector and District Magistrate of Udaipur, replacing Arvind Poswal, who has been reassigned as Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister.
- Avichal Chaturvedi has been appointed Joint Secretary of the Home Department.
- Rajendra Singh Shekhawat – Divisional Commissioner, Kota (formerly of the abolished districts)
- Shakti Singh Rathore – Commissioner, Tribal Area Development (TAD), Udaipur
- Namit Mehta has been transferred from Bhilwara to Udaipur as the new District Collector.
- Jasmeet Sandhu has been appointed as the new District Collector of Bhilwara.

IPS Transfers-
In a noteworthy move among the IPS officers, 2019 batch IPS officer Ranjita Sharma, Dausa Superintendent of Police, has been transferred to the Superintendent of Police Headquarters in Jaipur, with 2019 batch IPS officer Sagar, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Jaipur, taking over her previous position. Other significant changes among the IPS officers include S Parimala as Inspector General of Police, Personnel, Kishan Sahay Meena as Inspector General of Police, Human Rights, and Satyendra Singh as Inspector General CID, CB.

IFS Transfers-
In a significant administrative reshuffle, several key appointments have been made within Rajasthan’s Forest Department. Khyaati Thakur has been appointed as the Chief Forest Conservator in Ajmer, while Ashutosh Ojha will serve as the Forest Conservator in Jodhpur. Vijay Shankar Pandey has been transferred as the Deputy Forest Conservator in Nagaur. Sunil has been appointed as the Forest Conservator in Udaipur, and Upkar Borana will now take over as the Forest Conservator in Jaipur. Additionally, Mridula Singh has been assigned as the Deputy Forest Conservator in Sirohi, and Rahul Jhajharia has been appointed as the Deputy Forest Conservator in Chittorgarh.

Notable RAS Transfers–
Among the RAS officers, Navneet Kumar has been appointed as Revenue Appeal Officer in Barmer, and Harphool Singh Yadav has been transferred as Additional Commissioner CAD in Kota. Kamla Alaria will serve as the Registrar of Bikaner University, while Sohan Ram Chaudhary has been appointed Land Management Officer of Alwar.
The new appointments are effective immediately, and officers are expected to assume their new roles shortly.
