Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has announced a fresh round of bureaucratic reshuffle, assigning new responsibilities to several senior officers across departments in a move aimed at streamlining governance.
1999 batch IAS officer Sanyukta Samaddar, currently serving as Principal Secretary in the Political Pension and Civil Defence Department, has been given additional charge as Principal Secretary, Minority Welfare and Muslim Waqf Department. She will hold both portfolios concurrently.
2010 batch IAS officer Divya Prakash Giri, Special Secretary in the Excise Department, has been appointed as Special Secretary, Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department, signaling a shift towards enhancing water resource management and sanitation initiatives.
In another transfer, 2012 batch IAS officer Devendra Kumar Singh Kushwaha, previously Special Secretary in the Medical Education Department, will now serve as Special Secretary in the Excise Department.
2014 batch promotee IAS officer Rajneesh Chandra, who was serving as Special Secretary in the Social Welfare Department, has been appointed to the same position in the Rural Development Department. In a reciprocal move, Mr. Rajendra Singh, who held the role in the Rural Development Department, will now serve as Special Secretary, Social Welfare Department.
Additionally, 2019 batch IAS officer Pooja Yadav, who was on the waiting list, has been appointed as Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
The reshuffle reflects the state government’s continued efforts to ensure effective governance and better coordination across key departments.
