Bhopal: In a late-night development, the Madhya Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced the transfer and posting of seven IPS officers across various important positions in the state.
Key Changes in Police Leadership
2006 batch IPS officer Himani Khanna has been appointed as the new Inspector General (IG) of the Sagar Range. Along with this, she has been given the additional charge of Director of the Jawaharlal Nehru Police Academy (JNPA).
The government had earlier canceled the posting of Chandrashekhar Solanki, also an IPS officer of 2006 batch, as JNPA Director and reassigned him as IG of the State Armed Forces (SAF) in Indore.
2009 batch IPS officer Sunil Kumar Pandey, previously Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Management at Police Headquarters, is now the new DIG of the Sagar Range.
Transfers within Special Investigation and District Leadership
2010 batch IPS officer Kalyan Chakravarthy, a key member of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the Vijay Shah case, has been transferred from DIG SAF Bhopal to DIG of the Chhindwara Range.
2014 batch IPS officer Nagendra Singh, SP of Balaghat, has been appointed as the Commandant of the 25th Battalion in Bhopal.
While 2018 batch IPS officer Aditya Mishra, the SP of Rajgarh, has been posted as the new SP of Balaghat.
New Appointments in Rajgarh and Jabalpur
Amit Tolani, previously Commandant of the 24th Battalion Jawara, has been appointed as SP of Rajgarh.
Additionally, Sonali Dubey, a State Police Service officer and currently Additional SP in Jabalpur, has been promoted and posted as Additional Inspector General (AIG) at Police Headquarters.
