In a significant move, seven senior IAS officers from Bihar, including the Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department, will be heading to the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie for their mandatory mid-service training. The training is scheduled to take place from April 7 to April 25, 2025.
The Central Personnel and Training Department has formally notified the Bihar government, and the General Administration Department has subsequently informed the concerned officials. Among the officers who will be attending the training is Arvind Kumar Chaudhary, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department.
In addition to Chaudhary, six Principal Secretary-level officers will also participate in the training. These officers include:
- K Senthil Kumar, Principal Secretary of the Planning and Development Department
- H.R. Srinivas, Principal Secretary of the Election Department
- Santosh Kumar Malla, Principal Secretary of the Water Resources Department
- Pankaj Kumar, Principal Secretary of the Public Health Engineering Department
- Robert L Chongthu, Principal Secretary to the Governor
- Narmadeshwar Lal, Principal Secretary of the Mines Department
This 18-day training program is part of a vital initiative to enhance the capabilities of senior officers within the Indian Administrative Service.
