Eight probationary Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers from the 2024 batch, currently undergoing training in Gujarat, paid a formal courtesy visit to Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar prior to assuming their field assignments as Supernumerary Assistant Collectors.
As per official information, these young officers have been allotted the districts of Kheda, Amreli, Kutch, Rajkot, Bharuch, Tapi, Banaskantha, and Panchmahal. The meeting took place in anticipation of their upcoming district roles, which mark a crucial phase in their administrative careers.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel, while addressing the probationers, emphasized that serving in Gujarat under the vision of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi offers a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to public service. He expressed his confidence in the capabilities and enthusiasm of the young officers, encouraging them to dedicate their best efforts towards the realization of a “Viksit Gujarat” and “Viksit Bharat” during the ongoing Amrit Kaal.
Present during the interaction were Mr. M.K. Das (1990-batch IAS officer), Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, Mr. Hareet Shukla (1999-batch IAS officer), Principal Secretary of the Administrative Reforms and Training Division, and Ms. Avantika Singh (2003-batch IAS officer), Secretary to the Chief Minister.
