Gandhinagar: The Gujarat state government on Thursday issued charge arrangement orders for four IAS officers and one Gujarat Administrative Service (GAS) officer, following recent transfers in key administrative posts.
2009 batch IAS officer Vijay Kharadi, currently serving as Managing Director of Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation, has been given additional charge of Commissioner of Fisheries, replacing N.K. Meena, who was recently transferred.
2012 batch IAS officer K.C. Sampat, MD of iNDEXTb, will now also serve as the Additional Industries Commissioner.
2007 batch IAS officer Adra Agrawal, Commissioner of Cottage and Rural Industries, has been given additional charge of Managing Director, Gujarat State Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation.
2019 batch IAS officer V.I. Patel, Additional Commissioner of the Gujarat Municipal Finance Board, has been assigned additional charge as Mission Director of Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) and Mission Director of Gujarat Urban Livelihood Mission.
Meanwhile, GAS officer Mehul Desai, currently Deputy Municipal Commissioner of Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation, has been appointed as the Municipal Commissioner of Gandhidham Municipal Corporation, replacing M.P. Pandya.
These appointments are aimed at ensuring continuity and effective administration following recent reshuffles.
