Abhay Chaudhary has taken the charge of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PowerGrid), a Maharashtra state owned company as the Project director. This electric utility company comes under the Ministry of power and it’s headquarter is in Gurugram. Mr. Chaudhary was previously serving the PSU as the Executive Director (Commercial and Regulatory Cell) and in-charge of CMD Coordination Cell. Earlier this year, Public Enterprise selection board recommended him for this position along with other five candidates.
Mr. Chaudhary will be taking place of Rajeev Kumar Chauhan in the unit. He is a graduate in Electrical Engineering from NIT, Durgapur and has also done a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IMT, Ghaziabad. He has a total experience of 35 years in power sectors. He has worked as an operations and maintenance executive, as well as construction engineer in various capacities in EHV sub-stations and transmission lines. He is also well aware of the working conditions in inaccessible and terrorism affected areas. Previously, he has been given challenging assignments and was successful in it. His role in Powergrid is expected to be crucial in many terms.
