On Monday, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) took a major decision of the appointment of 44 officers.
According to the official order of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), IAS Officer Vibhu Nayar has been appointed as Executive Director of the Indian Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) under the department of commerce. Mr. Nayar is a senior IAS Officer of the 1990 Batch from the Tamil Nadu cadre. He is selected for a tenure upto his superannuation (31/October/2025) from the date of his assumption of the charge of the post or He will be posted as Executive Director of ITPO till further orders.
ACC also appointed IFoS Officer Priya Ranjan as Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. Mrs. Ranjan is an Indian Forest Service officer from 1998 Batch and belongs to the Rajasthan cadre.
Mr. Abhay Singh, IAS officer of 2004 Batch from Bihar cadre, and Vijay Lakshmi Nadendla, IAS Officer of 1995 Batch from Bihar cadre appointed as Joint Secretary Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. The appointment has been made for a tenure of five Years or for further notice of the government.
Apart from that ACC appointed Mr. Pramod Kumar Meherda (1997 Batch, IAS officer from Odisha cadre) as Managing Director in National Food Security Mission (NFSM). It comes under the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department.
