Two senior IPS officers from the 1993 batch, Alok Mittal and Arshinder Chawla, are likely to be promoted from Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) to Director General of Police (DGP) in Haryana soon.
According to sources, the concerned department has sent the promotion file to the Chief Minister for approval. Once the Chief Minister gives the nod, a Departmental Promotion Committee meeting will be held under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary to finalise the promotions.
