The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to extend the suspension of senior IPS officer N Sanjay until May 31, 2025, amidst ongoing investigations into his alleged involvement in misappropriating Rs 1.76 crore of government funds.
Sanjay was first suspended on December 4, following allegations by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) that he had manipulated the contracting process for the development and maintenance of the AGNI-NOC (Automated Governance & NOC Integration) web portal and mobile app.
A recent Review Committee meeting on January 29 recommended the continuation of his suspension, which has now been formalised through a government order, confirming that the suspension will remain in place until May 31, 2025, or until further instructions.
