New Delhi: The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has issued key administrative orders affecting top-level bureaucratic positions in the Government of India.
Anil Kumar Singhal Repatriated Prematurely
Anil Kumar Singhal (IAS:1993:AP), serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre of Andhra Pradesh on personal grounds.
As per the DoPT order dated July 2, 2025, the repatriation has been approved by the competent authority and comes with the imposition of an extended cooling-off period.
Singhal had assumed the role in October 2024, replacing Vipin Kumar (IAS:1996:BH).
FSIB Tenure Extended Till June 2026
Separately, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has extended the tenure of Bhanu Pratap Sharma, Chairperson of the Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB), along with the Bureau’s part-time members.
The extension is valid for one year, until June 30, 2026, or until further orders.
This marks the second consecutive annual extension for the FSIB leadership, reaffirming the government’s confidence in the current composition of the Bureau. FSIB continues to serve as the primary body responsible for top-level appointments in public sector banks and financial institutions.
