Cabinet Grants Approval for Extension of 2 Upgraded Posts, Road Transport & Highways Jt Secy to be Upgraded to Addl Secy

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has granted approval for the extension of temporary upgradation of the following posts:

1. The post of Secretary, National Commission for Safai Karmcharis (NCSK) will be upgraded from the level of Joint Secretary to that of Additional Secretary. This position is presently held by the 1989 batch IAS officer Ram K Khandelwal of Bihar cadre and the upgradation will be in effect until 24.03.2024.
2. The post of Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways will be upgraded to the level of Additional Secretary. This position is currently held by the 1994 batch IAS officer Amit Kumar Ghosh of Uttar Pradesh cadre, and the upgradation will be valid until 10.08.2024.
