In a significant development, Arun Prasad T, a 2008-batch officer of the Indian Economic Service (IES), has been appointed as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of the Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA). According to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved his appointment for an initial tenure of three years from the date of assumption of charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
