Hivare Nisarg Gautam Appointed Secretary in CMO
Hivare Nisarg Gautam, IAS (Assam-Meghalaya cadre, 2015 batch), who was serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Hailakandi, has been transferred and appointed as Secretary – Chief Minister’s Office, Assam.
This appointment places him in a crucial administrative position, directly under the leadership of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, reflecting the government’s trust in his capabilities and administrative experience.
Dr Lakshmanan S Gets Additional Charge of AMSCL and Food Safety
Dr Lakshmanan S, IAS (2011 batch), currently the Mission Director of the National Health Mission (NHM), Assam, also holding additional responsibilities as Managing Director, Guwahati Smart City Limited, and Secretary, Industries, Commerce & Public Enterprises Department, has now been entrusted with:
- Additional charge as Managing Director – Assam Medical Services Corporation Limited (AMSCL)
- Additional charge as Commissioner – Food Safety & Drugs Administration, Assam
This expanded role highlights his ongoing leadership in Assam’s healthcare and industrial infrastructure initiatives.
Dr P Uday Praveen Appointed Secretary of Agriculture
Dr P Uday Praveen, IAS (2016 batch), previously serving as Secretary in the Industries, Commerce and Public Enterprises Department, and handling multiple portfolios related to innovation and startups, has been relieved of all his additional charges in those departments. He is now:
- Appointed as Secretary – Agriculture Department, Assam
- Given additional charge of Director – Agriculture, Assam
His new role places him at the helm of Assam’s agriculture development strategy, at a time when the sector is being increasingly prioritized for reforms and innovation.
