Ms. Lamchonghoi Sweety Changsan, a senior IAS officer of the 1994 Assam-Meghalaya cadre, has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Assam.
An official order confirmed that Changsan, who has recently returned from central deputation, will also hold additional charge as Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Tribal Affairs (Plain) and will serve as Chief Executive Officer of the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA).
With extensive administrative experience in both the state and at the Centre, Changsan’s new assignment places her at the helm of two crucial departments and the state’s disaster management body.
