Assam: Several Forest Officials Were Reshuffled, Gopal Kumar Bania Made DFO, Baksa

The government of Assam has lately carried out a reshuffle in the state’s forest department by announcing a series of transfers and postings of senior forest officials. The changes, effective from the date of taking over charge, are aimed at enhancing efficiency and public service delivery in the forest department.

The transferees are — Ms. Rohini Ballave Saikia, the incumbent Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Kamrup East Division in Guwahati, who has been transferred as Deputy Conservator of Forests attached to the Office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife).

Mr. Golap Kumar Bania, last posted as Deputy Conservator of Forests (Publicity), has been appointed as Divisional Forest Officer of Baksa Forest Division.

Mr. Ranjit Konwar, last posted as Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Baksa Forest Division has been transferred to the Office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) as Deputy Conservator of Forests (Publicity).

Ms. Dimpi Bora, last posted as Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Kamrup West Division in Bamunigaon, has been appointed as Director of Assam Forest School in Jalukbari.

Mr. Monoj Kumar Goswami, last posted as Director of Assam Forest School in Jalukbari, has been transferred to Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Lakhimpur Division.

Mr. Ashok Deb Choudhury, earlier posted as Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Lakhimpur Division has been transferred to the DFO of Kamrup East Division.

Mr. Sheridhar Reddy, last posted as DCF O/o the PCCF (W/L) in Assam, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Director in the Manas Tiger Reserve.

Mr. Subodh Talukdar, last posted as Deputy Director in the Manas Tiger Reserve is transferred and posted as Divisional Forest Officer of Kamrup West Division in Bamunigaon.
