New Delhi: In a major step toward strengthening preventive healthcare among security forces, the Ministry of Ayush has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central Industrial Security Force to promote holistic wellness, yoga, stress management and Ayush-based healthcare services for CISF personnel and their families.
The agreement aims to integrate traditional systems of wellness into the daily routine of security personnel and improve long-term health resilience across the force.
MoU Signed in New Delhi in Presence of Senior Officials
The MoU was signed at CISF Headquarters in New Delhi by:
• A. Raghu, Adviser (Ayu.), Ministry of Ayush
• Pratibha Agarwal, Inspector General (Administration), CISF
The signing took place in the presence of senior officials including:
• Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush
• Praveer Ranjan, Director General, CISF

Focus on Preventive Healthcare and Stress Management
The collaboration will focus on delivering Ayush-based preventive and promotive healthcare interventions across CISF units.

• Holistic wellness interventions
• Family wellness outreach
The initiative is designed to support both operational fitness and mental well-being of personnel deployed in demanding security environments.
Ayush OPD Services May Be Introduced at CISF Units
One of the important features of the agreement is the possibility of providing Ayush OPD-level services at CISF establishments wherever feasible.
This may include:
• Consultation through Ayush practitioners
• Wellness clinics
• Traditional therapeutic support
• Preventive health guidance
Ministry of Ayush to Provide Technical and Institutional Support
Under the agreement, the Ministry of Ayush will:
• Develop wellness modules
• Provide technical support
• Offer expert guidance through research councils and institutions
CISF will facilitate implementation across its formations and operational establishments.
Five-Year Partnership for Security Force Wellness
The MoU will remain valid for five years from the date of signing.
Officials say the partnership reflects a broader effort to integrate traditional wellness systems into institutional healthcare frameworks for frontline personnel.
