New Delhi: In a strategic move to strengthen governance and policy oversight, Baldeo Purushartha, an IAS officer of the 2002 batch from the Punjab cadre, has been appointed as a Government Nominee Director on the board of Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd (HUDCO), effective immediately. The appointment was approved by the HUDCO Board, as per a regulatory filing on Monday.
Extensive Administrative Experience
Purushartha currently serves as Joint Secretary in the Infrastructure Policy and Planning Division, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. He brings a wealth of experience in infrastructure and public administration, having held key positions both in the Government of Punjab and the Government of India, including Divisional Commissioner of Jalandhar and Secretary of the Lokpal in Punjab.
His expertise spans infrastructure planning, policy formulation, and governance, making him well-suited to contribute to HUDCO’s mission of financing housing and urban development projects across the country.
