Bank of Baroda Wins IGBC Platinum and Silver Certifications at Green Building Congress 2025

New Delhi: Bank of Baroda (BoB) has earned major recognition at the Green Building Congress 2025, organised by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. The bank received two esteemed IGBC certifications, underscoring its strong commitment to sustainable banking practices and the development of environmentally responsible infrastructure.

Platinum Certification for Apex Academy, Ahmedabad

The bank’s Apex Academy in Ahmedabad was honoured with the IGBC Platinum Certification in the New Building Category. This prestigious recognition reflects the academy’s energy-efficient design, use of eco-friendly materials, and integration of green practices aimed at reducing environmental impact. The facility has been developed to provide a modern, sustainable learning environment for Bank of Baroda employees while setting new benchmarks for green institutional buildings.

Silver Certification for Baroda Bhawan, Vadodara

In addition, Baroda Bhawan in Vadodara secured the IGBC Silver Certification in the Existing Building Category. This award acknowledges the bank’s efforts to upgrade and operate its existing infrastructure in line with global sustainability standards. Energy conservation measures, improved water management systems, waste reduction initiatives, and the adoption of green operational practices contributed to the recognition.

Recognition Received by BoB Leadership

The certifications were proudly received by Mr. D. K. Namdeo, General Manager, Facilities Management (BCC), along with his team. Their presence at the event from 27–29 November 2025 reaffirmed BoB’s proactive stance on environmental stewardship and its ongoing efforts to integrate sustainability across its operations.
